As a paediatric occupational therapist, I partner with families to build practical, personalised plans that support everyday life — from sensory needs and emotional regulation to essential skills like toileting, dressing, car safety, and mealtimes. I also work alongside teachers and caregivers to adapt learning environments, introduce assistive technology, and help your child feel more confident and connected in the world around them.
This could look like sensory assessments (what activities does your child avoid doing on a day-to-day basis? Let's keep sensory practical!), navigating big emotions and behavioural supports (with structure, predictability, relationships and getting out of the brain & into the body), teaching new skills (think: toileting, dressing, car safety, mealtimes) and unlocking their engagement with the world around them (through switch-adapted technology, tweaking the curriculum, coaching the teaching or care teams).
