One of the aspects of Occupational Therapy I love the most, is the ability to think creatively with how activities and technology can be adapted so that every body, no matter what impairments, can participate in life.
If the young person you care for has a motor impairment, for example Cerebral Palsy, Occupational Therapy can support their development with a range of fun activities. I can teach skills according to daily activity goals that you or your child might have: dressing themselves, doing schoolwork (with pen/paper or with technology), playing sport or keeping physically active, using both hands to get the job done.
If your child owns switch-adapted technology, or would like to explore this for your child, I have a therapy stock of switch-adapted toys and devices that can help us do just this.
I can also train teaching teams at kindergartens and schools how to best support your young one (doing school work, going to the bathroom, joining in circle time or class hui, at the art table, on the playground or sports field).
